At TDeez Badass Creations, we don't believe in doing what's already been done. We make and support others who want to create one of a kind, hand crafted cool kick-ass stuff that make you say out loud "wow that's Badass".

We seek out small local mills (mom and pop shops) in the Mid-Atlantic region, mostly PA and MD that offer unique, one of a kind slabs that have the most character. We don't do dimensional lumber, and we don't buy wood by the board foot -- we are looking for that one-of-a-kind piece you can't find anywhere. Our sources of wood are kept confidential as they only sell wholesale.
No sorry, we don't buy raw green wood or cut down trees. We only work with mills that we have vetted and proven to us can kiln-dry wood properly and source wood sustainably. We don't allow any wood into our shop that has not been kiln-dried to kill all insects and ensure any eggs remaining are sterilized (130=140 degrees).

No. We had no clue what we were doing. Tom wanted to build a bar in the backyard pre-Covid (now he says he is a visionary) but Heather demanded a new table that wouldn't blow over in the wind and had huge patio unbrellas built in. He didn't even own an orbital sander. Six months later Covid hit, and after watching thousands of YouTube Videos here we are today. Heather was an art major in undergrad (Northwestern University) and after a small stint in interior design received her juris doctorate and practiced law for several years as well as consulting small businesses for the SBDC office.
Great question! While we support DIY efforts, we also realize not everyone has the space/time/tools/patience to make one. Stop by our shop, let's figure out what kind of wood you like and size you need, whether it needs epoxy, what color should be used and what base would be best. We will also ask how you plan on using the table so we can advise on the best oil/topcoat/sealer to use. We then provide an estimate/quote and to get started all we need is a deposit (usually the price of the slab).
