What we have

We hand-select every slab/board/block of wood that comes into our shop.  Nothing is purchased site unseen.  We look for the most unique, one of a kind, crazy beautiful pieces of wood that can be incorporated into tables, countertops, mantles, shelving, cutting/charcuterie boards, and more.  All slabs are professionally kiln-dried and most are surfaced, meaning you can take it home and with a bit of work with an Orbital sander, have a project ready to finish without having to use a planer. 

We offer wood slab cutoffs all the way up to glue-ups pieces that are 13 feet long and 50' wide, with a ton of choices in between. Since our inventory turns over so quickly, we don't upload pics of new slabs here on our website -- check out our Instagram / Facebook for real-time updates on what's in stock. 

We try out a lot of oils, waxes, topcoats, epoxy resin, and mica powders to see what works, what doesn't, what's overpriced and what's good enough.  Once we find a product we can stand behind, not only do we use it when making custom pieces, but offer it for retail sale to our customers saving time, money and expense of having to order it online or drive all over trying to locate it. See the complete list below of products that we keep in stock for sale.  We also carry the largest supply of mica powders/inks in the area (more than 1,147 items)

 We make and sell wood and ready-made items that we would have in our home - not something just thrown together to try to make a buck. We travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region looking for the most unique slabs of wood, salvaged metal and other found objects that can be repurposed into projects and make sure all our wood is professionally kiln-dried and surfaced ready for the first-time DIY person to take home and finish. Or, as your Project Partner we take the time to listen and bring to life your dream project based on the wood, hardware, table legs, epoxy color and style you want. It's all about YOU!

 Where do you find cool salvaged project pieces without having to drive who knows where and dig through a ton of junk? Because of our travels finding wood slabs, we often come across really cool items that we incorporate into projects but also try to have an assortment available for your DIY project as well. We have met some incredible artists who make crazy beautiful things with wood such as cutting boards, pens, bowls, jewelry, carvings, signs, home decor and more. Everything is handcrafted, make perfect gifts for that hard to buy for person, and don't be surprised if you run into one of them when visiting our shop!

In addition we offer laser and CNC engraving from 1/4" size up to table size! Anything in our store can be engraved and usually take  about a 7-14 days depending on the job. Ask about pricing.
